Terry Woodward
Managing Director, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan

Terry Woodward became HCPEA's President on July 1, 2018. He is a Director with Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP). He manages the fund's private equity transactions in the Healthcare Section and oversees the Global Venture Capital & Growth Equity portfolio for OTPP.  He joined Teachers' in 2001 with more than 10 years experience in healthcare, including leading R&D and corporate development at biotechnology and medical diagnostics companies respectively.

Terry has worked on a number of investments and funds in venture capital, growth equity and priviate equity, including Heartland Dental Care, INC Research, Eyetech Pharmaceuticals, Ista Pharmaceuticals, Portola Pharmaceuticals, Intarcia Therapeutics, Tethys Bioscience, Cempra Pharmaceuticals and others. Additionally, Terry represents Teachers' Private Capital on numerous fund advisory boards.

Terry holds a Ph.D. from McGill University and an MBA from Michigan State University. He was an adjunct professor in the Department of Physiology at Michigan State University.

Diane Daych
Managing Partner/Co-Founder, Granite Growth Health Partners
Vice Chairperson

Diane Daych is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder at Granite Growth Health Partners. She has more than 30 years of investing, advisory and operating experience, with more than 25 years of experience in the health services industry. Before founding Granite Growth, Diane led Apple Tree Partners’ healthcare services investing team. From 2010 to 2012, she was a managing director and co-head, Private Equity, of the Marwood Group. Previously, she was a partner and principal at CCP Equity Partners, where she invested in growth companies that offer specialized solutions for the financing, management and delivery of healthcare. Diane’s current investments include CleanSlate Outpatient Addiction Medicine, QualDerm Partners, and Three Oaks Hospice. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of CleanSlate, QualDerm, Three Oaks, The Healthcare Private Equity Association and the National Venture Capital Association. She previously sat on the Tuck School’s MBA Council Board, and the Board of Directors of the Women’s Association of Venture and Equity and the Connecticut Venture Group.

Diane earned an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BA in Economics from Lehigh University.

Thomas (T.J.) Carella
Managing Director, Warburg Pincus

Thomas (TJ) Carella joined Warburg Pincus in 2016 where he is a Managing Director and focused on healthcare investing. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Carella was a partner in the Merchant Banking Division of Goldman Sachs and global head of the division’s private equity activities in the healthcare sector. While at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Carella led or was actively involved in investments including: Advanced Recovery Systems, Assuramed, Drayer Physical Therapy, Globus Medical, Golden State Medical Supply, iHealth Technologies, Magnacare, Press Ganey, Privia Health, T2Biosystems and Vitals Health. He currently serves as a Director of Alignment Healthcare and Specialist on Call. Mr. Carella earned a BA from Harvard College in 1997 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2004.

Amy Christensen
Partner, The Vistria Group

Amy Christensen is a Partner with the Vistria Group. Prior to joining Vistria, Ms. Christensen was a Vice President at NewSpring Capital, a middle market private equity firm with a family of funds, including a dedicated healthcare fund.  At NewSpring she was responsible for the sourcing, due diligence, execution, and portfolio management of companies in a variety of industries including healthcare. Prior to NewSpring, Ms. Christensen was a Summer Associate with the Gores Group and an Associate with Calder Capital Partners. Ms. Christensen began her career with the Huron Consulting Group where she was responsible for designing, implementing, and managing key strategic and operational initiatives for large healthcare organizations.

Ms. Christensen currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Alacura, Chiro One, St. Croix Hospice, Supplemental Healthcare, and Behavioral Health Group.

Ms. Christensen received a B.S. from Northwestern University summa cum laude and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business where she was an Andrew Alper Merit Scholar.

Christopher Crosby
Managing Director, Nautic Partners

Christopher J. Crosby is a Managing Director at Nautic Partners, LLC. He is a member of Nautic's Executive Committee and specializes on investing in the healthcaare industry.  Prior to joining the firm in 2001, Mr. Crosby was a Principal with McCown De Leeuw and Co.  Prior to that, he worked for Indosuez Capital and Kidder, Peabody and Co., Inc.  Mr. Crosby holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Finance from Boston College.

Paige Daly
Managing Director, Harvest Partners

Paige Daly is a Managing Director at Harvest Partners which she joined in 2010.  She concentrates on growth capital, buyout, and recapitalization investments in healthcare and consumer businesses. Prior to joining Harvest, Ms. Daly was a Partner at Apax Partners.

Ms. Daly has a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She currently serves on the boards of Advance Dermatology and Dental Care Alliance.

  Geoff Lieberthal
Partner, Lee Equity Partners

Geoffrey Lieberthal is a Partner at Lee Equity Partners, a growth buyouts firm headquartered in New York. Geoff leads the firm’s investments in the healthcare sector and is currently a Director of Summit BHC, Westfall Technik and Paragon Industries. Geoff previously served on the board of directors of Eating Recovery Center, PDR Networks, Key Health and Axcan Pharma and, at prior firms, was actively involved in investments in CRC Health, Aspen Education, Warner Chilcott and Michael Stores. Before joining Lee Equity, Geoff worked in the private equity funds of TPG Capital and Bain Capital and began his career as a consultant at Bain & Company.

Mr. Lieberthal received an M.B.A from Stanford Business School and a B.A. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College with cum laude honors.

John Maldonado
Managing Partner, Advent International
John Maldonado joined Advent in 2006 focusing on buyouts in the healthcare, financial and business services sectors. His previous private equity experience includes positions at both Bain Capital and Parthenon Capital.  During his career, John has worked on 17 investments, 14 during his time at Advent, including ATI Physical Therapy Holdings, LLC, Cotiviti, Genoa Healthcare, Party City/Amscan, Skillsoft, Syneos Health, Inc., Vantiv (formerly Fifth Third Processing) and Worldpay.

John began his career as a Consultant with The Parthenon Group, a leading strategy consulting firm. He earned a BA, summa cum laude, from Dartmouth College and an MBA, with high distinction, as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School.

Jennifer Mulloy
Managing Partner, Co-Head North America Healthcare and Consumer Group

Jennifer Mulloy is a Managing Director at TA Associates where she is also a member of the Executive Committee.  Ms. Mulloy co-heads the North America Healthcare and Consumer Group with a focus on healthcare and consumer companies.  Jennifer serves on the Boards of Directors of CCRM, Dutch, MedRisk, and Twin Med. Prior to joining TA in 1998, Jennifer was a healthcare investment banker at Robertson, Stephens & Company.

Ms. Mulloy received an AB degree in Economics, with Honors, from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Ravi Sachdev
Partner, CD&R
Ravi Sachdev joined CD&R in 2015. He plays a key role in the Firm’s investments in agilon health, Vets First Choice, Tranzact and Healogics. Previously, he served as a Managing Director and Co-Head of Healthcare Services at J.P. Morgan, advising senior healthcare company executives on strategic initiatives, M&A and capital markets. In that role, Mr. Sachdev advised on multiple transactions including the sale of Medco to Express Scripts, Vanguard to Tenet, Trizetto to Cognizant and the IPOs of HealthEquity, SCA, Premier and IMS Health. He received his B.A. in economics from the University of Michigan. 
Ali Satvat
Member, KKR

Ali J. Satvat is a Member of KKR and a senior leader of the Healthcare industry team within KKR's americas Private Equity platform. He has been involved in various healthcare investments during his career and currently serves on the the board of directors of several organizations, including Arbor Pharmaceuticals, Cohera Medical, Coherus BioSciences and PRA Health Sciences. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Satvat was a Principal with Apax Partners, where he invested in healthcare and seved as a director of Chiron Holdings (Kinetic Concepts and LifeCell Corp.) and TZ Holdings (The TriZetto Group, Inc.) and was actively involved with many of the firm's successful growth investments.  Previously, Mr. Satvat held various positions with Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation, Audax Group, and The Blackstone Group where he was involved in a broad range of transactions.

Mr. Satvat hold an A.B. in History from Harvard College and an M.B.A. in Healthcare Management and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Doug Schillinger
Managing Director, DW Healthcare Partners

Doug is a Managing Director with DW Healthcare Partners. His investment and transaction experience includes bio-analytical/immune-analytical service laboratories, institutional and specialty pharmacies, medical device manufacturers in the cardiac and orthopedic markets, physician practice management companies, elder care service providers and clinical research organizations.

Before joining DW Healthcare Partners, Doug worked for Bain & Company. While there, Doug led strategic due diligence efforts as part of Bain’s Private Equity Group. Prior to joining Bain’s Private Equity Group, Doug advised Bain’s commercial clients in the consumer products and food service industries.

Doug received a Bachelors degree from Cornell University and an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, and previously sat on the Harvard Business School Alumni Board of Directors.

Edward Sobol
General Partner, Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe

Ed Sobol is a General Partner at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe.  He joined WCAS in 2010 and focuses exclusively on the firm's healthcare investment activity. Ed currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Kindred Healthcare, Kindred at Home, InnovAge, Emerus, and National Dentex.  He was actively involved in several previous WCAS investments, including United Surgical Partners, K2M, and Triple Point Technology.  Before joining WCAS, Ed was a Vice President at Bain Capital and began his career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Ed graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Stanford University.

Robbert Vorhoff
Managing Director, General Atlantic

Robbert Vorhoff is a Managing Director at General Atlantic. He joined GA in 2003 and leads the firm's Global Healthcare sector. Robb currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Alignment Healthcare,and eviCore healthcare. Previous portfolio responsibilities include MedExpress Urgent Care, Align Networks, Grupo Qualicorp in Brazil, RiskMetrics Group and NYSE Euronext. Prior to joining GA, Robb was with Greenhill Capital Partners, the private equity division of Greenhill & Co.

Robb received a BS in Commerce with a concentration in finance from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. While at UVA, he was awarded the William M. Shermet Scholarship by the McIntire faculty on the basis of academic performance, character, and leadership. Robb remains actively involved with UVA as a member of the McIntire School of Commerce Advisory Board. He also serves on the board of directors of the Echoing Green, a leading provider of fellowship support for social entrepreneurs.
