Diane Daych is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder at Granite Growth Health Partners. She has more than 30 years of investing, advisory and operating experience, with more than 25 years of experience in the health services industry investing in growth companies that offer specialized solutions for the financing, management and delivery of healthcare. Before founding Granite Growth, Diane led Apple Tree Partners’ healthcare services investing team. From 2010 to 2012, she was a managing director and co-head, Private Equity, of the Marwood Group. Previously, since 2000 she was a partner and principal at CCP Equity Partners. Diane’s current investments include CleanSlate Outpatient Addiction Medicine, QualDerm Partners, and Three Oaks Hospice. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of CleanSlate, QualDerm, Three Oaks, The Healthcare Private Equity Association, the National Venture Capital Association and the Tuck Center for Private Equity and Venture Capital. Diane earned an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BA in Economics from Lehigh University.
Paige Daly is a Partner at Harvest Partners which she joined in 2010. She concentrates on growth capital, buyout, and recapitalization investments in healthcare and consumer businesses. Prior to joining Harvest, Ms. Daly was a Partner at Apax Partners. Ms. Daly has a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She currently serves on the boards of Advance Dermatology and Dental Care Alliance.
Alex Albert is a Founding Partner of Patient Square Capital. Mr. Albert has over 15 years of investment and acquisition experience. Prior to joining Patient Square, Mr. Albert was a Partner at Ares Management where he served as the co-head of health care within the Private Equity Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2014, Mr. Albert was a Vice President at FFL Partners. Earlier in his career, Mr. Albert was an Associate in private equity at KKR. In addition, Mr. Albert was an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs from 2005 to 2007. Mr. Albert currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the parent entities of DuPage Medical Group (DMG), National Veterinary Associates (NVA), Ob Hospitalist Group (OBHG) and Unified Physician Management (UPM). Mr. Albert holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in Economics and an M.A. from Columbia University in Quantitative Methods. He also holds an M.Phil from Oxford University in Economics. Mr. Albert is a CFA® charterholder.
Thomas (TJ) Carella joined Warburg Pincus in 2016 where he is a Managing Director and focused on healthcare investing. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Carella was a partner in the Merchant Banking Division of Goldman Sachs and global head of the division’s private equity activities in the healthcare sector. While at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Carella led or was actively involved in investments including: Advanced Recovery Systems, Assuramed, Drayer Physical Therapy, Globus Medical, Golden State Medical Supply, iHealth Technologies, Magnacare, Press Ganey, Privia Health, T2Biosystems and Vitals Health. He currently serves as a Director of Alignment Healthcare and Specialist on Call. Mr. Carella earned a BA from Harvard College in 1997 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2004.
Mark is a member of TA’s Management, Core Investment and Portfolio Committees. He joined TA in 2005 and has more than 22 years of experience in the private equity and investment banking industries. While at TA, Mark has been responsible for leading numerous healthcare investments totaling more than $10 billion in enterprise value. He has deep expertise in the healthcare segment and has partnered with founders and management to accelerate growth through acquisitions, new product development and organic initiatives.
Andrew Cavanna is a Partner in the healthcare team. He joined Apax Partners in 2017 and is currently based in New York. Andrew has participated in key deals including Kepro, Genex and One Call Care Management. Prior to joining Apax Partners, Andrew spent eleven years at Vestar Capital Partners where he was a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Healthcare Sector. At Vestar, Andrew was involved with a number of investments including Press Ganey, Essent Healthcare, StayWell, Joerns Healthcare, Sunrise Medical, Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) and Veritas Collaborative. Andrew came to Vestar in 2006 from The Blackstone Group. Prior to Blackstone, Andrew was a Senior Associate at JPMorgan Partners. Andrew started his career as an Analyst in Leveraged Finance at Merrill Lynch. Andrew holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA, cum laude, in Economics and Government from Cornell University. Andrew is a Board Member of the Darien Land Trust and the Cornell College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Council.
Amy Christensen is a Partner with the Vistria Group. Prior to joining Vistria, Ms. Christensen was a Vice President at NewSpring Capital, a middle market private equity firm with a family of funds, including a dedicated healthcare fund. At NewSpring she was responsible for the sourcing, due diligence, execution, and portfolio management of companies in a variety of industries including healthcare. Prior to NewSpring, Ms. Christensen was a Summer Associate with the Gores Group and an Associate with Calder Capital Partners. Ms. Christensen began her career with the Huron Consulting Group where she was responsible for designing, implementing, and managing key strategic and operational initiatives for large healthcare organizations.
Christopher J. Crosby is a Managing Director at Nautic Partners, LLC. He is a member of Nautic's Executive Committee and specializes on investing in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining the firm in 2001, Mr. Crosby was a Principal with McCown De Leeuw and Co. Prior to that, he worked for Indosuez Capital and Kidder, Peabody and Co., Inc. Mr. Crosby holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Finance from Boston College.
Geoff comes to Two Sigma from Lee Equity Partners, a U.S. growth buyouts firm, where he led the firm’s healthcare investments and served as a partner and member of the firm's Investment Committee. Prior to Lee Equity, Geoff worked in the private equity funds of TPG Capital and Bain Capital and began his career as a consultant at Bain & Company. Geoff has been a director of several companies, including Summit BHC, Westfall Technik, Eating Recovery Centers, PDR Networks, Key Health, Paragon Industries, and Aptalis Pharma. Geoff was a faculty lecturer at Stanford Business School and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Healthcare Private Equity Association. Geoff is also a co-founder of Inspire Inc, a volunteer consulting non-profit organization, where he continues to serve as a director. Geoff received an M.B.A. from Stanford Business School and a B.A. in Engineering Sciences cum laude from Dartmouth College.
John Maldonado joined Advent in 2006 focusing on buyouts in the healthcare, financial and business services sectors. His previous private equity experience includes positions at both Bain Capital and Parthenon Capital. During his career, John has worked on 17 investments, 14 during his time at Advent, including ATI Physical Therapy Holdings, LLC, Cotiviti, Genoa Healthcare, Party City/Amscan, Skillsoft, Syneos Health, Inc., Vantiv (formerly Fifth Third Processing) and Worldpay.
Mr. O'Leary is a Principal, having joined WCAS in 2015. Prior to joining WCAS, Mr. O’Leary worked at JLL Partners for over six years, focused primarily on healthcare investments. Earlier in his career, he worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Merrill Lynch. Mr. O'Leary received a B.A. from Washington and Lee University.
Ravi Sachdev joined CD&R in 2015. He plays a key role in the Firm’s investments in agilon health, Vets First Choice, Tranzact and Healogics. Previously, he served as a Managing Director and Co-Head of Healthcare Services at J.P. Morgan, advising senior healthcare company executives on strategic initiatives, M&A and capital markets. In that role, Mr. Sachdev advised on multiple transactions including the sale of Medco to Express Scripts, Vanguard to Tenet, Trizetto to Cognizant and the IPOs of HealthEquity, SCA, Premier and IMS Health. He received his B.A. in economics from the University of Michigan.
Doug is a Managing Director with DW Healthcare Partners. His investment and transaction experience includes bio-analytical/immune-analytical service laboratories, institutional and specialty pharmacies, medical device manufacturers in the cardiac and orthopedic markets, physician practice management companies, elder care service providers and clinical research organizations. Before joining DW Healthcare Partners, Doug worked for Bain & Company. While there, Doug led strategic due diligence efforts as part of Bain’s Private Equity Group. Prior to joining Bain’s Private Equity Group, Doug advised Bain’s commercial clients in the consumer products and food service industries. Doug received a Bachelors degree from Cornell University and an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School, and previously sat on the Harvard Business School Alumni Board of Directors.
Paul Wallace serves as Managing Director for Heritage Group. His prior experience includes more than 15 years in venture capital and private equity investing with firms such as GTCR, Lazard Asia, Gilbert Global, Petra Capital and SV Life Sciences. He also spent 6 years leading corporate development for Healthways (NASDAQ: HWAY), during which time the company's revenue increased more than fivefold. He received his M.B.A. from Kellogg and his B.A. from the University of Richmond. He is a native of Nashville, where he resides with his wife and three children. |
