Q: How long has HCPEA been around?
A: HCPEA was founded in 2010 by Brian Miller of Linden Capital Partners.  It is the first industry focused professional association for private equity.
 
Q: Who can become a member of HCPEA?
A: HCPEA membership is open to private equity firms engaged in LBOs or growth equity investing. Potential members must have a minimum of 2 current healthcare-related portfolio companies.
 
Q: Is HCPEA open to venture investors?
A: Currently HCPEA membership is limited private equity firms engaged in LBOs or growth equity investing.
 
Q: Is there an individual membership option?
A: Membership in HCPEA is on a firm basis.  The membership fee covers all investment professionals employed by the private equity firm.
 
Q: Is HCPEA membership open to other types of firms (i.e. investment banks, professional services firms)?
A: No, HCPEA membership is exclusively for private equity firms.
 
Q: Does HCPEA lobby?
A: HCPEA is a 501(c)(6) professional/business association and is prevented from conducting lobbying activities.
